Dear Friends and Supporters,
Happy Mother’s Day!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and also Maternal Mental Health Month. Becoming a parent is a profound and transformative experience. However, motherhood can also bring significant emotional and psychological adjustments. Maternal mental health conditions, such as postpartum depression and anxiety, are common and treatable, yet often go unaddressed due to stigma and lack of awareness.
The Center has several programs that support mothers:
Prenatal Plus Mental Health Program provides services to pregnant women who are at risk of having a low birth weight baby or other poor birth outcomes.
Counseling for Parents and Young Children promotes a healthy home environment to reduce abuse and neglect, by providing in-home mental health counseling program for parents with children through age five.
Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) provides education and support to help parents navigate family issues and encourage positive behavior in their children and teens.
Our Individual & Family Counseling program provides professional, confidential mental health counseling to individuals, families and children on an outpatient basis.

Join us and the Palm Beach County community in wearing Green this Thursday, May 15, as we bring attention to Mental Health Awareness Month. Stand alongside the Center and other mental health organizations in the community to raise mental health awareness by creating visible support for talking openly about mental health and trauma. At Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County, we cultivate compassion, understanding, and hope every day. But, during Mental Health Awareness Month, we ask for your support in fostering understanding, reducing stigma, and championing the importance of mental well-being.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we make a difference.
Sincerely,
Todd L’Herrou, CEO
P.S. Many thanks to Impact the Palm Beaches for their recognition and support of our new Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) therapy program. Please take a moment to watch the video about our work:
Center for Family Services has been providing mental health services and education to children, adults and families since 1961. Our clients are some of the most vulnerable in the community due to their age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Donations are a crucial means to their mental well-being. On their behalf, thank you for your support.
