Dear friends and supporters,
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in the mental health field. From scientists to activists, and even to artists and others, women have made significant contributions to our field.
I also want to acknowledge the ongoing struggles that women face in their daily lives, from gender-based violence to unequal pay and limited access to opportunities, and even to minimization and marginalization of mental health issues. Many of these struggles are underlying factors in the work we do with the women and girls who pass through our doors daily.
To all the women in our organization, I want to express my gratitude for your hard work, dedication, and contributions to our success. I recognize that you face unique challenges and barriers in your professional and personal lives, and I am committed to supporting you in any way that I can. This month, and every month, we celebrate the incredible women in our organization and around the world.
Center for Family Services has been providing mental health services and education to children, adults and families since 1961. Our clients are some of the most vulnerable in the community due to their age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Donations are a crucial means to their mental well-being. On their behalf, thank you for your support.
