We also celebrate the resilience and strength needed to be a father. Being “Dad” is a complex but often very rewarding role. Fathers play a vital part in shaping the lives of their children, and being in that role can be scary.

This Father’s Day, we encourage open communication and support for fathers experiencing mental health challenges, including PTSD. Stronger fathers build stronger families (did you know that seeking help is a sign of strength?). Our Children’s Services Council-funded Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and Teen Triple P programs give parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behavior and prevent problems developing.

This month, consider honoring your father or grandfather by making a donation in his name this Father’s Day. Every contribution makes a difference, and with your support, healing is possible.

Warmly,

Todd L’Herrou, CEO

p.s. If you’d like to donate and make a gift to the Center in honor or in memory of a great father, we can email an acknowledgement to the recipient letting them know that a gift was made in their honor for Father’s Day. Be sure to leave a note with the name and email address in the message field or contact Ellen Vaughan at evaughan@ctrfam.org if you’d like to arrange recognition for a gift.
