Stop Abuse by Family Empowerment
“The therapist is helping our family tremendously!”
SAFE Kids program is the only program in Palm Beach County recognized by the Florida Department of Health Children’s Medical Services as an official Sexual Abuse Treatment Provider (SATP).
SAFE Kids specializes in treating victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, and child witness to domestic violence. In addition, we provide treatment for sexually abused reactive children (SARC), victims of rape / sexual assault, adults molested as children (AMAC), and victims of other types of crimes such as trafficking.
Therapists use play, art, and activities to engage children as young as three who may not respond to traditional talk-therapy methods.
SAFE Kids goals are to promote safety, stabilize emotional and behavioral symptoms, and improve family cohesion in order to end the cycle of abuse or violence and enhance positive coping skills.
SAFE Kids offers safety planning for victims and their families, psycho-education on abuse and violence, individual and family therapy, and linkage and referral.
