SAFE Kids Program Offering Free Domestic Violence Support Group

SAFE Kids Program Offering Free Domestic Violence Support Group

Nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this adds up to more than 10 million women and men, according to a 2018 national crime report. Nearly 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime, the same report showed.
Domestic violence survivors, including their children, face a myriad of emotional issues. Our SAFE Kids program works daily to help these women and children. To further our efforts, the Center is offering a FREE support group for adult women survivors of domestic violence. This will be a 12-week, once-per-week program meeting Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. beginning July 10 and ending September 25, 2019.
Those completing the program will be celebrated in a graduation ceremony and receive certificates.
We will also provide supervision for your children.
